Rates
and Fees
"Thanks so much Maria. You have been as awesome
on this as I remembered from the last time."
- Liah Rose, Macmillan Publishing Solutions
Rates:
Indexes
are
generally charged by the page. Rates vary
depending
on the material being indexed. Some of the factors that
determine the fee include the number and type of indexes required, the
density and subject matter of the material, the intended audience, the
number and type of indexes required, and the amount of time for the
project. In general, indexing is
charged at the rate of $3.00 - $6.00 per page. Lower and
higher
rates are sometimes possible depending on the circumstances.
The rate will be set prior to work beginning.
Other Fees:
Other fees are possible as well. Minor re-working of the
index, up to an hour, is free. After that time is charged at
an hourly rate of $50 per hour. It is important that final
pages are used for indexing, as any changes to the pages require that
those pages be reindexed for an additional per-page fee.
Cancellations by the client after work begins require that the client
pay for all work done up until notice of cancellation.
Cancellations with less than 48 business hours prior to work
beginning will result in a kill fee of 25% of the project cost.
If you would like a specific price quote for your project, please
contact Maria Sosnowski with information about your project.
It is very helpful to
see one or two sample chapters from the middle of the book in order to
give an accurate price quote.
